بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
This is the blessed month of Ramadãn in which the Holy Qur’ãn was revealed. The Qur’ãn is the Word of Allãh تعالى through which He addresses mankind, calling them to guidance and success both in this life and in the Hereafter. The Most High says:
كتاب أنزلناه لتخرج الناس من الظلمات إلى النور، بإذن ربهم إلى صراط العزيز الحميد
“(This is) a Book which We have revealed unto you in order that you might lead mankind out of darkness into light by their Lord’s leave to the path of the Almighty, the Praised.”
(Ibrahīm: 1)
The Qur’ãn also admonishes mankind and warns them against disobeying their Lord’s Commandments, lest the fate of those who were previously destroyed should befall them. It is therefore imperative for the slave to take time to recite this blessed Book, listen to its recital, and ponder (tadabbara) over its Ãyãt in order to receive guidance and, in turn, achieve success by the Grace of Ar-Rahmãn.
